Who needs ETIAS to travel to Europe?
There are approximately 60 ETIAS-eligible countries, including the United States, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and most countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. An approved European ETIAS will pre-screen all travelers before they can enter the Schengen area countries in Europe.

ETIAS is valid for three years from the date your application is approved. ETIAS will expire when your passport expires. Your ETIAS cannot be transferred from one passport to another passport. You will have to apply for a new ETIAS when your passport expires.

The application usually takes less than 15 minutes, and most applicants receive their ETIAS in a matter of minutes. You may be required to submit additional documents in some cases. An interview might be necessary depending on the information you provide when applying online.

ETIAS will permit citizens of all eligible countries to travel to Europe for a variety of reasons, including transit, business, tourism, or medical treatment. The visa-free rule will not allow the ETIAS visa holder to live permanently or work in Europe. If you work in Europe, you will violate ETIAS regulations.
