ETIAS Travel Authorization for Serbians

Serbian nationals will be able to travel to states that are part of the EU using only their passports until 2025. Serbia has visa waiver arrangements with the Schengen Zone. Despite being a European country, Serbia is not a member of the EU or the Schengen Area. Hence Serbians will have to apply for a travel permit known as the ETIAS by 2025.

The ETIAS visa waiver program is an obligatory travel permission scheme developed by European Union authorities to promote regional security. By the end of 2025, all Serbian citizens seeking to travel to any Schengen country will be required to register for a European visa waiver.

With an ETIAS visa waiver, Serbians will be permitted to travel to these countries and territories:

Serbian citizens can obtain travel authorization on their smartphone, tablet, or personal computer because the ETIAS application is digital. The ETIAS is a three-year multiple-entry travel authorization that begins the day it is authorized. This means that any Serbian citizen with a legal European visa waiver may travel to any Schengen member country as many times as they want within three years. The ETIAS permits limitless entries if the Serbian passport used to get the visa waiver is legitimate, and holders will not exceed 90 days in 180 days. Before returning to Europe, the traveler will need to file for an ETIAS renewal if either their passport or their ETIAS for Serbians expires.

Serbians visiting the Schengen Zone

Serbian citizens will be able to travel to any of the Schengen nations involved in the ETIAS arrangement for business, transit, or vacation for up to 90 days in 180 days under the European Union visa waiver. This implies that Serbian nationals with an authorized ETIAS can visit any Schengen zone country without a visa application.

What do Serbians require to go to the European Union?

To visit EU nations, Serbian citizens must have a valid passport. Serbian citizens will be required to register online for the ETIAS beginning in late 2025.

The European Union is gradually developing the ETIAS, a visa waiver scheme, to strengthen safety within the Schengen borders. The goal will be met by applying for and screening all travelers from visa-free nations, such as Serbia before they leave their home country. Any application found to pose a danger to the Schengen Area’s and its citizen’s well-being shall be denied entry.
Whenever the EU visa waiver for Serbian nationals is made available in 2025, all travelers from Serbia to Schengen countries will need to apply for ETIAS travel permission online. The ETIAS registration form will be quick and straightforward to fill out. It should not take 10 minutes to fill out the traveler’s personal, passport, and trip information.

For Serbian citizens, the ETIAS criteria are straightforward, and applicants would only be required to furnish the following information:

• A passport that is valid for three months beyond the anticipated stay
• personal information, including Full name, date of birth and etc.
• Contact information, including a valid email address
• A valid Credit or a Debit card, that can be used to pay for the ETIAS processing fees

Serbians can apply for ETIAS.

Even if they travel within Europe, Serbian nationals traveling to Schengen Zone will require an ETIAS visa waiver. Short-term stays of up to 90 days in Schengen member nations will necessitate travel permission.
The ETIAS will be simple to obtain online using a simple ETIAS application form. Serbian residents will not need to go to an embassy to receive travel authorization because the entire process will occur online.
Eligible nationals from more than 60 countries, including Serbia, must fill out a brief application form with their name, date and place of birth, and contact information. Applicants will next be asked a series of security questions about their migration, travel history, and health details.
The ETIAS registration for Serbians is being verified against several security databases using this information. The authorized ETIAS visa waiver is provided to the applicant’s email address. To guarantee that the ETIAS visa waiver for Serbians arrives on time, all applicants must double-check that the information provided on the application is correct. Any errors in the applicant’s personal information, passport information, or email address may cause delays or possibly result in the visa waiver application being denied.
The ETIAS will be active for three years from the date of issuance or until the passport applied expires, whichever comes first. The ETIAS will be electronically connected to the passport used in the visa waiver registration form once authorized. Once the current passport expires, the travel permission cannot be moved to a different passport.
As a result, if the citizen’s Serbian passport expires before the ETIAS’s 3-year validity expires, they must register for an ETIAS one more time with the new passport number. Applying for a replacement ETIAS is quick and straightforward.
