ETIAS Travel Authorization for Hong Kong nationals
The European Travel and Information Authorization System was designed to register visa-free travelers visiting within the Schengen Zone. The ETIAS procedure will involve screening Hong Kongese and the other travelers eligible for visas to protect the Schengen Area international borders. As of now, Hongkongers are granted entry into all the countries of the Schengen Zone without visiting an embassy or consulate to obtain the visa. This visa-free entry to Hong Kong citizens grants them the right to stay for as long as 90 days for tourist or business needs. That’s why travelers from Hong Kong are allowed to travel to one or more Schengen Area countries as long they don’t exceed the permitted time.
