Colombian Citizens ETIAS Application

By 2025, applying for an ETIAS is a law obligation for all Colombians traveling into any country part of the Schengen Zone. The nationals of Colombia must apply for an online registration system before departing their home country.
To be registered to be eligible for ETIAS, Colombian citizens will be required to divulge the following details:
• According to the bio page of the citizen’s passport, first name, last name, and middle name according to the bio name of the citizen’s passport.
• Passport information, including the country, the date of issue, and the expiry date, as the passport number in its entirety.
• Plans for travel, which include the first country that the Colombian citizen plans to join inside the Schengen Area, their date of arrival, as well as departure

In addition to the ETIAS requirements for Colombian nationals, as previously stated, every Colombian traveler will have to answer some basic questions about their health, travel history, criminal and educational experience.
When Colombian citizens’ passport expires, the traveler should renew the passport before enrolling in ETIAS. Otherwise, an invalid passport will create problems as ETIAS electronically links with only one passport used in the online registration procedure.
ETISS is not transferable, not even to a new passport when the one you have already had expires. Neither can it be transferred to another passport with a valid nationality that the same person could be carrying (in cases of those who have double citizenship).
Colombian travelers who travel within the European Union with an ETIAS visa waiver must travel on the same passport used for the ETIAS application. It is important to note that the ETIAS visa waiver is valid for three years from acceptance. However, as ETIAS electronically links with the passport utilized in applying, the electronic travel authorization will be null if the passport expires before the expiration date of 3 years.
The application form for ETIAS for Colombians contains several fundamental security questions in the online application. The process online is simple and will take a minimum of 10 minutes of your time to complete on your tablet, smartphone, or laptop computer. Candidates are advised to review all the data provided in the form to ensure accuracy. This is because any mistakes or inconsistencies can delay the processing process and, in some circumstances, result in the ETIAS being rejected.
Once the application is approved, the European visa waiver application for Colombian citizens is sent as a PDF via the email address you provided during the application process.
